Torrey: p532, T:I, P:1
1 Peter 5:8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Careless and heedlessness are out of the question when such an enemy is abroad.
Torrey: p532, T:I, P:2
Ephesians 4:27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
The Devil is always seeking an opening. We should see to it that he gets none. The context suggests how such an opening in often given, e.g., by being angry and continuing in wrath. This door into the heart is a favorite one with the Devil.
Torrey: p532, T:I, P:3
James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Though the Devil is strong it is ours in God's strength, and by the power of the Word, to withstand him.
1 John 2:14 I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
Torrey: p532, T:I, P:4
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
The full armor is described in the following:
Ephesians 6:14-18 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
1 John 5:18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.
Colossians 1:13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Christ guards and delivers God's children from the Devil's power.
John 10:28-29 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.
